Leadership La Plata appreciates support for class held in Bayfield

On behalf of all of Leadership La Plata, the county's community education and leadership skills training program, we want to sincerely thank all those businesses, organizations and individuals who contributed to the success of the regional diversity Class session in October.

We appreciate the generosity of the staff at Bayfield Town Hall who graciously hosted the class in the board room.

To our moderator, Tara Kiene, it was a pleasure to work with you, and special thanks to Karen Thompson for sharing her teambuilding and leadership training skills with the class.

Many thanks to Roger Zalneraitis, Cindy Galabota, Chris Burkett, Tom Taylor, Dan Straw, Korola Hanks, Sheila Casey, Erin Youngblood, Jim Dyer and Lindsay Box for speaking on our economic diversity panel and in our round table discussions.

We are sending a special thank you to Maura Doherty Demko of Sexual Assault Services Organization for her presentation on the "Isms in our World".

And, last, but certainly not least, to our session sponsor, Momentum Energy Group, for provided the funding to underwrite costs necessarily incurred for the program. We couldn't have done it without you. Thank you.

Many in the community contribute on an ongoing basis to Leadership La Plata, and we know we speak for all LLP class members and graduates when we say thank you for allowing this all-volunteer program to continue. It is a privilege to be part of Leadership La Plata.
