Marshal's deputies appreciate community support

The deputies of the Bayfield Marshal's Office would like to thank the community of Bayfield for recognizing us and showing your appreciation of our service last week during National Police Week. Several members of the community thanked officers individually throughout the week. Members of the community as well as numerous businesses donated time, food, and money for this very special event and awards ceremony.

We would like to thank the Bayfield Middle School Junior Police Academy for their attendance along with their families and for their gift and speech.

We would like to extend a special thanks to the Pine Valley Four Square Church and Pastor Scott Kujath for their continued prayers for our safety. They offered the use of their church, and their members volunteered countless hours preparing and serving food as well as cleaning everything up afterwards.

Thank you George Marsh and Glenn Tinnin for photographing the event and preserving fond memories.

Thanks to Westwind Pipes and Drums Band, a group of bagpipers who provided entertainment and flair to the evening.

We would like to thank Maureen Cleveland, our administrative assistant, for supporting us and holding us together throughout the year.

We would also like to extend a very special thanks to our families for their continued support for what we do. They provide us with the strength and courage we need to do our jobs. They provide us with daily doses of emotional strength and encouragement.

And finally we would like to thank Marshal Joseph McIntyre and his wife Julie for planning the event and pulling everyone together for this very special night.

Bayfield Marshal's Office.
