Job, community fair set for Aug. 20

Building a Better Bayfield Job Fair and Community Open House will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20 at the Pine River Library in Bayfield.

Rhonda Kline of Integrity Workforce Connection is organizing the fair in conjunction with the Bayfield Chamber of Commerce, Town of Bayfield, the library, Pine River Shares and the Bayfield Family Center.

"The idea is to bring all our community assets available to locals together in one location," Kline said.

There is no charge for employers or participating agencies to set up a booth or table, and outdoor space is available if needed.

The event will feature everything from jobs, housing assistance (buying, renting or other), local businesses, recreational programs, family assistance programs, volunteer/non-profit organizations, kid and family activities, banking options, church programs, local artists, etc.

To reserve a space, call Kline at 442-2523.
