My name is Emma Candelaria and I have been selected to compete with America's Team traveling to Australia. I go to school at Bayfield High School, play softball for Durango High School and two travel ball teams, the Farmington Venom and Grand Junction Fusion.

The America's Team is scheduled to compete in a series of softball games designed to promote and enhance the sport, and promote goodwill between American and international student-athletes. America's Team provides student-athletes with high integrity and strong character opportunities to compete in international programs as an ambassador for their school, community, and our great country.

America's Team is dedicated to competition and experiences that will strengthen not only their athletic ambitions, but open their eyes to a new people and culture, thus making a positive impact on young lives by showing them the world through athletic competition. To participate in this event and maintain compliance with NCAA and NAIA eligibility requirements, I must raise my portion of the travel expenses incurred by my team. With the support of people like you, the opportunity to travel and compete with this team will be a reality. Your donations and financial assistance is greatly valued and appreciated. I will have some fundraising opportunities as well.

I am fundraising with a non-profit organization who does random acts of kindness called Chicks with Broomsticks (Project Emma). Checks also can be sent to Emma Candelaria, 1186 Homestead Drive, Bayfield CO 81122.

I am really excited to get to represent our great nation overseas! GO USA!
