Tucson pitches shut-out, named MVP

Gabe Tucson was named Most Valuable Player for outstanding pitching and play in the Southwest Wood Bat Classic Tournament that was held June 14-17 in Meza, Ariz.

Tucson plays for the 14U Farmington Strike Zone team. He pitched the entire championship game (7 innings, 75 pitches that included 1 walk) for a shut-out win, 3-0 on June 17.

Tucson is the son of Gabe and Karla Tucson of Bayfield.
