Thanks to all who came out on a sunny Saturday for the ninth annual Diversity Dialogue on Feb. 17, with a big shout out to the youth who came from across the county to attend - your participation is recognized and appreciated!
The dialogue is coordinated by the Embracing Diversity Initiative, a youth-adult partnership that facilitates diversity workshops to promote intercultural understanding and personal/organization growth. Our grateful thanks go to this year's sponsor, the Durango Community Relations Commission, with special thanks to Sodexo Campus Dining for meals and Bread for their always wonderful cookies.
Partners to thank and appreciate for their ongoing support include the Prejudice Elimination Action Team at Durango High School, Common Ground and El Centro de Muchos Colores at Fort Lewis College, Celebrating Healthy Communities Coalition, and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango.
Special guest presenters Rachel Turiel, Hazel Botha, Seneca Wilson and Kati Harr are warmly thanked for their session on Nonviolent Communication.
