Bayfield captures first boys state track and field title in school history

The Bayfield High School boys track and field team won its first title in school history after compiling 79.5 points during the CHSAA state championships this weekend at Jefferson County Stadium in Lakewood.
With three pole vaulters on the podium, Bayfield High School got off to strong start May 17 at the 3A Colorado State Track and Field Championships. Chad Winkler placed second for the Wolverines, followed by fellow senior Colton Fine at third. Dawson French, a BHS sophmore, took seventh place.

Bayfield's Jordan Lanning placed fourth in the Class 3A long jump during the CHSAA track and field championships Saturday at Jefferson County Stadium in Lakewood. Lanning compiled 31 total points during the meet and didn't finish worse than fourth in any of her four events.
