General Election ballots coming in mail

Early birds have been requesting absentee ballots
Ballots were be mailed to voters Monday. Voters may expect them to arrive by Thursday in Durango and by Saturday in Bayfield.

Three voter service and polling centers will be open in La Plata County leading up to general election.

La Plata Clerk and Recorder's Office will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Oct. 22 to Oct. 26. It will be open from 8 a.m. until noon Oct. 27 and Nov. 3. The office will open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Oct. 29 until Nov. 2 and on Nov. 5.Bayfield Town Hall will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Oct. 29 until Nov. 2 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 5.La Plata County Fairgrounds will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 2 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 5.All polling centers will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Election Day.

Ballots can be dropped off at these four locations:

La Plata County Clerk and Recorder's Office, 98 Everett St., Suite C, in Durango.La Plata County Administration Building, 1101 East Second Ave., in Durango.Farmers Fresh Market, 535 Goddard Ave., in Ignacio.Bayfield Town Hall, 1199 Bayfield Parkway, in Bayfield.
