The Colorado State Patrol had officers in Bayfield on Monday night looking for a suspect from a traffic stop on Sunday, but it turned out to be a case of mistaken identity.
CSP had a report of a possible sighting of someone who ran from the traffic stop, said Capt. Adrian Driscoll, the troop commander in Durango.
The patrol had officers ready to deploy tire deflation devices in case he tried to run again, "but it turns out it wasn't the correct person," Driscoll reported. No arrests were made.
